Like many, I have lived most of my life heavily under the influence of music. I have had 21 years of CDs, vinyls, music videos and MP3 players; songs of every genre, rhythm and tempo. Some had lyrics I could relate to, some didn’t. But each and every song was fundamental to making up the person I know as ‘me’. And that is what this blog is about. It is about sharing parts of myself: letting you in on my favourite songs, songs that mean something to me, songs that make me laugh, songs that make me cry. Because it is as simple as that, when music plays that much of an important role in your life, it can have the power to do almost anything. And I think that is profoundly beautiful.
